The Financial Reporting Accountant will be responsible for assisting in the process of creating external reporting statements. This role will play an integral role in both the month-end close and external reporting processes.

Description:
  • Assists in the coordination and preparation of quarterly reports (10-Q), annual reports (10-K) and current reports (8-K).
  • Prepares XBRL tagging for all above-listed documents.
  • Assist with technical accounting research and documentation of new policies and procedures.
  • Prepares monthly cash flow statement.
  • Monitor the development and applicability of emerging accounting and reporting rules being deliberated by the SEC, FASB, or other regulators.
  • Assumes accounting closing tasks as determined by the Team’s schedule. This may include, but is not limited to, stock- based compensation accounting, revenue recognition entries, EPS computation, lease accounting, and miscellaneous accruals.
  • Updates/ clarifies accounting policies to support adoption of new accounting standards. Provides training to the broader accounting community.
  • Involved in the coordination of statutory filings.
  • Reviews balance sheet account reconciliations and flux analysis.
  • Provide assistance to investor relations team, as needed.
  • Assist with external audit requests.
  • Other projects as needed.


Requirements:
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance or equivalent and 2-5 years of public Accounting.
  • Strong analytical and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to research, analyze and document accounting issues. In-progress or obtained CPA designation will be a plus to evidence interest and ability for technical accounting.
  • Detail oriented with ability to multitask.
  • Intermediate Microsoft Excel skills.
  • Experience with Workiva, Longview consolidation software and/or JDE ERP is a plus.
