About Us:

Penta Restoration Corp. is a vertically integrated development & general contracting company that deals with all facets of the construction process. The company currently has over 20 active contracts and many more pending within the next 3-5 years.

Our main office is in Long Island City, Queens.

Duties & Responsibilities:

The Staff Accountant will be responsible for general accounting functions, including but not limited to: Accounts receivable, accounts payable, bank and credit card reconciliations, payroll, month end accounting entries, working directly with project managers for approvals, monthly reporting, requisitions to owners and assisting senior management on a daily basis. There will be a focus on thorough analysis of payroll information including monitoring labor, withholdings, proper rates and audit in accordance with local and federal tax law. You will be working with the accounting team, management and ownership as well as outside vendors and subcontractors.

Qualifications:

• 3-5 years of experience in accounting.
• Displays critical thinking and problem-solving ability.
• Must be able to work efficiently and effectively.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Past experience with requisitions
• Knowledge of SAGE 300 CRE.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Suite applications such as: Excel, Word and Outlook

This is a high paced environment and a great opportunity for the right candidate looking to work with an experienced accounting team. On site training will be provided, if needed.
