The mission of the UCLA Center for Behavioral & Addiction Medicine is to advance the prevention and treatment of chronic illnesses, especially in communities with health disparities. Our research efforts include clinical trials of anti-addiction medications and HIV prevention interventions. This position will be responsible for recruitment and retention efforts and for administering study measures, entering data, screening calls and scheduling. Pay Range: $27.09 - $43.58 Hourly

Required: * Possess a valid CA's driver's license and maintain an adequate level of automobile insurance * Willingness and ability to maintain confidentiality of research participants * Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, verbally and in writing, with subjects, staff, supervisor, and community partners * Ability to establish and maintain cooperative working relationships with staff members * Willingness to work some evenings and weekends. Organizational skills necessary to maintain records and coordinate other tasks as required * Ability to work independently and report to supervisor(s) on a regular basis and in a timely manner * Ability to question research participants about sensitive behavioral issues, including but not limited to drug use, criminal behavioral, and sexual behavior * Skill in speaking and writing to persons of diverse social, cultural, economic, and educational * Proficient in Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and use of Internet * Experience in data collection, including interviewing * Willing to commute for meetings and recruitment/retention efforts * Ability to follow University Policy and Procedures Preferred: * Experience recruiting participants for research studies * Ability to read, write and speak in Spanish. Bachelor's degree * Experience providing referrals to community services to patients/research participants
