SUMMARY:

As a Store Associate/Office Assistant associate, your main objective is to work closely with our customers (i.e. the front-line customer) in a coordinated effort to ensure our customers are provided the most positive and satisfying customer experience and service. Additional responsibilities include, but not limited to, packing and preparing online orders for shipment; organizing inventory in warehouse after inspection; various special projects from parent company with home office located in New Port Richey; assist with receptionist coverage during lunch breaks. The position will work primarily from the Tarpon Springs location, but will work additionally in the New Port Richey home office when necessary. This is a part-time position working 20-25 hours per week.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Assists & suggests merchandise to customers looking for specific products, gifts for occasions, etc.
  • Opens and/or closes cash register pursuant to procedures for daily store & event sales.
  • Providing price tags for new or replaced merchandise in store.
  • Stocking shelves, counters or tables with merchandise – keeping it neat in appearance.
  • Clean shelves, counters, tables & lightly dust floor on a daily basis.
  • Providing reports to Manager or Assistant Manager, as required.
  • Fulfillment of orders, either through store or online store, as needed.
  • Organization of inventory in warehouse, looking for potential improvements.
  • Alert Manager or Supervisor of any damages upon occurrence for proper records.
  • Consistently create and drive prospecting opportunities through existing customer calls.
  • Collaborate with team (through team meetings) to execute sales strategy.
  • Answer and direct phone calls from the public when necessary.
  • Participation in off-site point-of-sale events: travel may be required.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS:

  • Retail experience a plus.
  • High School diploma required.
  • Working skill of Microsoft Office (word, excel & power point).
  • Skill in meeting and dealing with public – good interpersonal skills.
  • Customer Service & conflict resolution skills necessary.
  • Periodic travel required to office, store, store events, industry events.
  • Highly developed problem solving and relationship management skills.
  • Must demonstrate ability to work independently.
  • Punctuality & dependability a must.
  • Ability to contribute in a team meeting environment.
