Retail Store Manager - Marina Outfitters Store in Manitowoc, WI

Position Summary: Oversee and perform all retail activities and operations. Responsible for supervision of all store activities including: Store merchandise purchases, displays, inventory controls, marketing & sales promotions, Marina administration, dockage customer check in/out,, cash control, store associate supervision, oversight and training.

Essential Functions:

• Greet and assist customers with all aspects of sales and customer service
• Maintain high level customer service standards.
• Answer phones, address customer questions and direct calls to appropriate departments
• Expedite the processing of guest purchases and payments on account.
• Supervises the receiving and tagging of all incoming merchandise and assist with all purchasing
• Ensures correct pricing on all products and takes charge of unpacking and pricing of new merchandise.
• Works with Team Members to facilitate store stocking with appropriate levels of merchandise.
• Ensures that packing slips and invoices are reconciled by the retail clerk.
• Demonstrate product features and benefits
• Merchandises the floor for maximum sale of all products.
• Maintains daily cashier drawer audits
• Full understanding of the point of sale system
• Spearheads special projects (i.e. sales, special events, promotions etc.)
• Supervision of Sales Associates.
• Assigns daily tasks to Marina Store staff and ensures that the tasks are performed correctly and in a timely manner while maintaining high standards of customer service.
• Oversee schedules appropriate coverage
• Trains new hires on POS system and job responsibilities
• Follow up with Team Members on processes and procedures updates and notifications
• Coordination of general housekeeping in store, lounge, public and vending areas.
• VHF base station radio operations.
• Coordinate Rental Check In and Out process. (kayaks, bikes, boat slips)
• Additional tasks and responsibilities may be assigned at the discretion of the General Manager.

Work Schedule: Full-time; 5-6 days/week; normally works on some holidays and weekends during the boating season; on call for emergencies. May be required to work overtime, nights, and/or weekends.

Work Environment: Business Casual, Requires ability to work on the floor in front line retail environment.

Qualifications:

• Demonstrated ability to buy, sell and promote merchandise sales
• Pleasant personality and ability to get along with customers and manage sales staff
• Strong communication and leadership skills
• Good time management, organization, and multi-tasking skills a plus
• Ability to work successfully in a team environment and promote teamwork with all departments
• Ability to use confidential information in an appropriate manner
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and effectively problem solve
• Basic computer skills and ability to learn new technology systems
• Previous supervisory experience a plus
• High school education or equivalent
• Interest in self development and desire to learn

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
