SALARY RANGE: Contractual Stipend - $702.00
PRINCIPAL DUTIES: The middle school Student Council Advisor is accountable to the middle school principal and will supervise all component activities of the student council.
The advisor will: attend and supervise all council meetings, provide guidance, direction and supportive help in planning and implementing the council activity calendar; chaperone council sponsored functions and secure additional chaperones consistent with school policies. Also, he/she will coordinate and supervise fund raising activities of the council; maintain complete and accurate financial records of the council according to school policy; recommend, to the principal, the payment of council operational bills; assist the council in exploring suggestions and ideas in a fair, democratic manner; keep the principal informed of council programs and activities; and provide the principal with minutes of council meetings. In addition, the advisor will supervise and advise any projects or activities that the principal may request or which the Student Government wishes to undertake.
