Job description
The Student Enrollment and Testing Assistant will be responsible for class/session enrollment during orientations for the OCCC Adult Learning Center programs. The Student Enrollment and Testing Assistant will also be responsible for reporting and serving as proctor for student pre- and post-assessment/testing according to federal grant requirements in order to meet state program goals.

This appointment is contingent upon availability of grant or contract funds. If the funds from the grant or contract that provide funding for this appointment are no longer available, this appointment may be terminated without cause upon written notice to the employee.

Minimum Education/Experience
Successful completion of some college credit courses or currently enrolled in a college or university.
Required Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Positive customer service, oral and written communication skills.

Ability to organize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
Physical Demands/Working Conditions
1. GENERAL PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Light work: The person in this position may occasionally exert up to 20 pounds of force to move objects.

2. PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES:
This position requires the person to frequently communicate with and listen to students, colleagues, faculty, and staff to perform the essential functions of the position. Must be able to exchange accurate information in various situations.

This position requires the person to frequently remain stationary for extended periods to proctor exams or assist students and perform the essential functions of the position.

This position requires the person to occasionally use upper and lower body to exert force up to 20 pounds to lift materials or equipment.

3. VISUAL ACUITY:
This position requires the person to judge, observe and assess the accuracy, neatness, thoroughness of work assigned or to make general observations.

4. WORKING CONDITIONS
This position’s essential functions are performed in an indoor classroom or office setting.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience in student evaluation, assessment and/or testing.

Experience in a higher education environment.

Bilingual or multilingual.

Associate degree.
Required Training Work Hours
Monday through Friday,12 pm – 5pm,

or

Monday through Thursday, 4 pm – 9 pm

Some morning hours may be required.
