Description:

• This is a full time/part-time position for an after school teacher.
• The hours for this position are (2:30pm-6pm) Monday-Friday, and 8-hr shifts ONLY if school-aged children are out school for holidays/PD days, and summer break.
• As a after school teacher you will be responsible for assisting school aged children with homework and other assignments. You will also be responsible for supervising children while also motivating them to use their mental capacities and exercise their imagination.

Qualifications:

• Minimum 45-hr DCF training or willing to take classes if not credentialed.
• Must have a CLEAR local and level 2 background check.
• Flexible schedule

Skills:

• The ability to effectively communicate with children and families.
• Assist with homework assignments (K-6th)
• Patience, flexibility, and love for working with children.
• Good communication skills.
• The ability to establish and maintain a positive work relationship with supervisor and colleagues.

License:

• CPR/First Aid (Preferred)
• DCF Child Care Training 45 hr (Preferred)

Education:

• High School or Equivalent (Preferred)
