JOB DESCRIPTION: Summer Camp Facilitator
Assist the management team with implementing Girls Inc. programming, provide appropriate supervision of participants, and complete documentation as needed.
Themes: Sports, Physical Activities, STEM programming, Leadership and Community Service, and Entrepreneurship
Program: Summer Camps: May 30 June 5-July 31
Paid time off June 19 and July 3-7
Location: 686 N. 7th St, 38107; 1568 Robin Hood Ln., 38111, Southwest Community College 5983 Macon Cove, Memphis, TN 38134, MOSH: 3050 Central Ave, Memphis, TN 38111
Hours: 8 am- 6 pm with lunch break.
Supervisor: School-Base Coordinator & Center Manager
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Focus on girls on their terms-advocacy
- Thoughtful qualitative and quantitative inquiry to be better- data outcomes and shared accountability

- Facilitates Summer Camp curricula and activities
- Participates in all events, field trips, and activities with the girls
- Implements programming following the agency's philosophy, mission, vision, and policies as outlined in the staff handbook
- Informs supervisor of problems, concerns, and needs via written and oral communication
- Research age-related development information to stay informed about the needs of the participants
- Upholds and enforces center guidelines and regulations
- Compile, organize, and visually analyze class records and attendance
- Ensures cleanliness of sites daily
- Provides appropriate supervision for participants in Girls Inc. programs
- Supports the check-in and check-out process of participants
- Supports the food and snack distribution
- Creates and maintains a safe and nurturing environment for children
- Works with participants in small groups and individually to ensure the girl’s active participation.
- Acts as a team player with high initiative and self-motivation
- Maintains strict confidentiality of participant information
- Performs other various job functions as may be assigned
Program Benefits:
- $15-17 hr depending on the job experience
Dress Code: Girls Inc T-shirt (will be provided), jeans, tennis shoes (No open-toe shoes)
