SUPDog Instructor

SUPDog Hawaii is seeking qualified individuals to Teach Stand Up Paddle Board lessons for Dogs and their owners throughout the Hawaiian Islands. This position is an Independent contractor position. Flexible working hours with a maximum of 4 hours per day.
Job responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Bringing Paddle Board Equipment to the Beach or River.
- Prepping Safety Equipment (Leashes / Life Jackets).
- Positive Reinforcement Dog Training.
- Teaching Stand Up Paddling Basics.
- Telling Stories.
- Taking High Quality Photos and Videos (On the Water).
- Maintaining Exceptional Customer Service.
- Recommending Up Sells & Positive Reviews.
- Teach dogs how to balance and paddle on a SUP board.
- Ensure the safety of dogs during SUP sessions.
- Assist with marketing efforts and promotion of SUP classes to attract new clients.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a SUP instructor.
- Must have experience working with dogs and be knowledgeable about dog behavior and body language.
- Must be certified in CPR and First Aid.
- Must have excellent communication skills and be able to effectively teach dogs and owners.
- Must have a flexible schedule and be willing to work weekends and holidays.
- Must be physically fit and able to lift and carry SUP equipment.
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
Preferred Skills:
- 3 to 5 Years of Stand Up Paddle Experience
- 3 to 5 Years of Dog Training Experience
- 3 to 5 Years of Customer Service Experience
- 1 to 2 Years Instructing Experience
- Strong Swimming Skills
Compensation is per guest at $75 per guest. Instructors will host 1 to 3 guests per lesson. Number of lessons per day varies upon demand and instructor availability. Minimum of $75 for 2 hours, up to $225 for 4 hours. Payout is twice a month on the 1st and 15th.

Kauai (Hanalei, Wailua)
Maui
Big Island
SUPDog Instructors will be expected to provide, store, and maintain their own equipment. Equipment Required to Teach:
- Vehicle for Transportation
- Large Paddle Boards with Extended Deck Pads,
- SUP Paddles
- SUP Leashes
- Dog Life Jackets
- Iphone Camera & Drybag
- Fanny Packs
- Dog Treats
