Summary/Objective
The Supply Chain Manager will be responsible for planning, implementing and monitoring our overall supply chain strategy and in order to maximize efficiency and productivity in the plant.
Essential Functions

- Plan and implement the overall supply chain strategy of the site operation including customer service, scheduling, shipping/receiving and material procurement.
- Determine key supply chain KPIs
- Suggest solutions for process improvements with plant production schedules
- Identify process bottleneck and implement solutions in a timely manner
- Train and evaluate others and provide constructive feedback
- Work with finance, sales, and manufacturing team to determine best vendors and distributors
- Act as liaison with engineering, accounting, and manufacturing regarding process changes.
- Build and maintain good relationships with vendors
- Analyze schedules for production/MRO material needs
- Perform MRP, MPS, and maintain CMS operating system to ensure production targets are met
- Produce production schedules for complex product lines
- Coordinate manufacturing capabilities and capacities - SIOP

Supervisory Responsibility
This position manages all employees of the site Materials department and is responsible for the performance management and hiring of the employees within that department.

This job operates in a professional manufacturing office and shop floor environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is occasionally required to stand; walk; sit; use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; climb stairs; talk or hear. Position Type/Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Days and hours of work are Monday through Friday. This position regularly requires long hours and weekend work.
Travel
Travel is primarily local during the business day, although some out-of-area and overnight travel may be expected.
Required Education, Skills and Experience
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in business, logistics or operations management
- Minimum of five years' experience in materials, production planning or logistics leadership role
- At least 7 years of progressive leadership experience in a manufacturing environment
- At least 2 years of supervisory experience
- Hands on approach to leadership, team building, and coaching
- Knowledge with Lean Manufacturing, Process Controls, and Quality Systems, specifically IATF16949
- Outstanding problem solving and decision making ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- High energy level and strong work ethic
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP systems
- Effective use and development of processes used to optimize scheduling and metrics (EOQ, cycle counting, Kanban)
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail.

Preferred Education, Qualifications and Experience
A master's degree in human resource management or business. Experience leading HR in union environment.
SHRM Certified Professional (SHRM-CP) or SHRM Senior Certified Professional (SHRM-SCP) credential. HRCI Certified Professional PHR or SPHR
