The Role

The main responsibility of this role is to provide supply chain activities for the plant manager.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES:

  • Requisitioning and receiving raw materials
  • Participation in monthly inventory and reconciliation by investigating discrepancies, tracking inventory, and compiling reports.
  • Developing loss mitigation processes and protocols.
  • Assist and coordinate production scheduling, inbound scheduling, dispatching and delivery schedule, to ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Become proficient in Microsoft AX (computer system) as related to entering orders, productions, shipments, inventory, and receipts.
  • Assist in training less experienced workers in inventory and AX processes.
  • Perform audits, develop, and maintain communication/control boards in plant.
  • Comply with applicable regulatory and company health, safety, environmental, and security requirements. Employee is expected to complete required training in a timely manner; perform duties in a safe and environmentally sound manner; and immediately report injuries/illnesses, environmental spills/releases, and any unsafe acts or conditions to supervision in support of continual improvement of the company's health, safety, environmental, and security performance.
  • Maintains good working relationships through interacting and communication with clients/customers, peers and other staff members in a professional and appropriate manner and responds to and gives feedback in a respectful and positive manner.
  • Reports to work on time prepared to perform the duties of the position and willing to perform the duties as workload necessitates.
  • Great written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with budget management

· Ability to maintain confidentiality.

· Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office Application

· High school diploma or G.E.D.

· Minimum of 3 years' experience in the field.

· Familiar with data entry systems

· Able to lift up to 50 pounds

· Able to stand and bend for long periods of time in a warehouse environment

· Attention to detail to identify defective products

Physical Requirements/Activities: While performing the duties of this position, the individual is regularly required to stand, walk, sit, use hands to finger, handle and operate tools and equipment, reach with hands and arms, balance, kneel, bend, carry, reach, push, pull, lift, twist, grip, and communicate (talk and hear). 80% of the time is stationary/sitting. Specific vision abilities required include close vision and distance vision. Sustained mental effort is regularly required.
