Job Description


The SVP, Marketing North America thinks and acts like a business leader, playing a key role in developing the business’s future through the marketing community. Putting our customer and their experience with our marketing activity first, this role will play an important part in driving customer satisfaction and financial growth through marketing excellence which includes data and insights at its core. An experienced change agent, the SVP, Marketing, will drive the business’s marketing performance through innovation and creativity, driving a high performance marketing culture with an unwavering commitment to continuous improvement.


The candidate will be a seasoned and talented leader, who can influence and drive behavior change and create the space for innovation. They will have a proven track record in effectively collaborating with different teams and leading through influence, growing and scaling the business with an astute understanding of effective change management practices.

Responsibilities:


  • Drive the fusion of a strategic, long-term vision with practical short-term marketing tactics and measurements of KPI’s
    • Audience acquisition and engagement
    • Database growth
    • Data quality
    • Customer and prospect engagement, conversion and experience
  • Balance creativity and innovation with data-led decision making to deliver against strategic goals
  • In partnership with commercial marketing leads, cultivate and demonstrate a positive high-performance culture within the marketing function and across wider business, including development support, growth opportunity plans, upskilling and creating space for innovation at all levels.
  • Supporting effective, transparent and metrics based people management including:
    • Setting clear expectations and objectives
    • Providing regular and structured feedback & coaching sessions to drive a high-performance culture
    • Initiating recognition programs to reward and recognize individual and team achievement
  • Develop strong partnerships with Technology, Communications and Sales Leadership to improve cohesion, collaboration and business needs achievement.
  • Cement focus on customer experience and market understanding to ensure evidence-based decision making
  • Ensure rigor and consistency in collecting customer data and measurements of data, delivering customer insight programs for continuous improvement
  • Key stakeholder in partnership with SVP, Technology in the marketing and event technology landscape, working with vendors and in-house teams to deliver best-in-class experiences
  • Own marketing service vendor relationship vetting and negotiation
  • Support development and iteration of marketing team structures, ensuring competencies and capabilities are in place to deliver against strategic goals
  • Ensure marketers and the wider business are living a customer-first mentality focusing on continuous experience improvement and delivery of best-in-class products
  • Working with the family marketing teams and Technology teams to accelerate the adoption of latest marketing techniques made possible by marketing technology

Qualifications
  • Strong commercial acumen
  • Inquisitive, creative and passionate
  • Excellent knowledge of the marketing technology ecosystem
  • Experience of recommending and implementing marketing and event technology
  • Proven track record of maximizing operational efficiency and proactive approach to headcount budget management
  • Detail-oriented and highly organized with the ability to handle various tasks simultaneously under multiple deadlines; demonstrated project management skills required
  • Skilled in anticipating future challenges and able to adapt to changing or unexpected circumstances positively
  • Experience acting as a change management ambassador, demonstrating a positive and constructive attitude towards challenges and change
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a team
  • Flexible leadership style
  • Coaching and mentoring experience
