IMMEDIATELY HIRING CONSTRUCTION TAKEOFF SPECIALIST/ESTIMATOR

Joao & Bradley Construction Company, Inc. is seeking a skilled Takeoff Specialist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be proficient in 2D takeoffs. This individual will be responsible for interpreting construction plans, creating and managing Excel Spreadsheets, and conducting accurate takeoffs of materials and labor required for construction projects.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Responsible for bidding major underground utilities projects in PA, Maryland, & Delaware (water, sewer, and storm)
• Determine labor & equipment costs
• Prepare accurate quantity takeoffs & materials pricing
• Send request for quotes to vendors and subcontractors
• Review and understand bid documents and assess project risks
• Understand project logistics and project schedule
• Compare and analyze competitive subcontractor and supplier bids.
• Review quotes and estimates with the Project Management Team.
• Prepare estimates at different levels of completion
• Perform certain post-bid buyouts.
• Perform pre-construction duties and meetings with Clients, Owners, Subcontractors and Engineers.
• Performs other related duties as required and assigned Requirements.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering or Construction Management
• Underground Utility experience
• Public works sector experience a plus
• Effective presentation skills
• Advanced computers skills with MS Office
• Extensive knowledge of construction costs and engineering principles
• Well organized, flexible, detail oriented and multi-tasked.
• Prioritize workload and consistently meet deadlines while constantly changing tasks and demands
• Excellent written and oral communicator

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $70,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
