The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking an energetic Technical and Capabilities Subject Matter Expert in the application of cutting-edge technologies for the warfighter. The right candidate will provide on-site support to the Office of the Secretary of Defense in the Washington, D.C. area.

This position requires a candidate with experience performing a variety of program functions, including:

• Application of new and innovative warfighting capabilities
• Development of technology roadmaps
• Provide operational and technical consultation and advice
• Support transitioning technology to programs of record
• Providing technical leadership

Required Qualifications:

• Master’s Degree
• 20 years of relevant experience
• Must be a US Citizen
• Must have an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
• Experience with advanced DoD weapon systems and concepts of employment
• Having strong written and verbal communications skills

Desired Qualifications:

• Experience supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense
• Experience with:
• Land, sea, air, and space platforms
• Offensive, defensive, kinetic, and directed energy weapons
• Sensors for ISR and fire control
• Cyberwarfare
• Communication networks
• Electromagnetic spectrum management to include EW and 5G
• Application of automation
• Command, control, and battle management
• Familiarity with the Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2)

This position is contingent upon award of a contract (one base year + four option years) expected in April 2023 supporting the Department of Defense.
