Job description
The Capital Area Division (CAD) of Applied Research Associates, Inc. (ARA) is seeking an energetic Technical and Capabilities Subject Matter Expert in the application of cutting-edge technologies for the warfighter. The right candidate will provide on-site support to the Office of the Secretary of Defense in the Washington, D.C. area.
This position requires a candidate with experience performing a variety of program functions, including:
- Application of new and innovative warfighting capabilities
- Development of technology roadmaps
- Provide operational and technical consultation and advice
- Support transitioning technology to programs of record
- Providing technical leadership
Required Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree
- 20 years of relevant experience
- Must be a US Citizen
- Must have an active TS clearance with SCI eligibility
- Experience with advanced DoD weapon systems and concepts of employment
- Having strong written and verbal communications skills
Desired Qualifications:
- Experience supporting the Office of the Secretary of Defense
- Experience with:
- Land, sea, air, and space platforms
- Offensive, defensive, kinetic, and directed energy weapons
- Sensors for ISR and fire control
- Cyberwarfare
- Communication networks
- Electromagnetic spectrum management to include EW and 5G
- Application of automation
- Command, control, and battle management
- Familiarity with the Joint All-Domain Command and Control (JADC2)
This position is contingent upon award of a contract (one base year + four option years) expected in April 2023 supporting the Department of Defense.
