Cate Equipment Company has been in business for 85 years, and provides equipment sales, rental, service, and parts in Utah, Idaho, Nevada, and Wyoming. We represent LeeBoy, Doosan/Bobcat, Dynapac, Bucher Municipal, Ring-O-Matic, KM International, ProPatch, Atlas Copco, Gorman Rupp, Wacker Neuson, Minnich, and many others. With a recent change in ownership, Cate is in an expansion phase, and we are looking for energetic, talented individuals to join our growing family.
We have an immediate opening for a new TERRITORY MANAGER, which is an outside sales position, managing a defined geographical territory within Utah. Successful candidate will be responsible for calling on construction companies of all sizes, jobsites, municipalities, and others, while building strong relationships with end-users, purchasers, supervisors, and managers, and people of varying backgrounds, from high-level managers to field laborers and everyone in between. As the face of the company, candidate must be outgoing, well-spoken, professional, knowledgeable, and easy to get along with. Given our wide range of various types of equipment, candidate must be mechanically inclined and able to learn various industries quickly. We are willing to train, but preference will be given to candidates with a background in equipment sales, asphalt paving, road construction, or other general construction equipment industries. Provided all qualifications are met, this may be an opportunity for a seasoned equipment operator or supervisor who wants to transition into a sales role.
This is a full-time sales position which is handled mostly during business hours, but may require attention during evenings, weekends, or outside of normal business hours as needed. Periodic travel to remote areas will be necessary.
General computer literacy, experience with MS Office, and an excellent grasp of written and spoken English is required, as candidate will be responsible for creating accurate sales quotes, making presentations, and communicating via email, phone, text, and in person, on a daily basis.
Candidate must have the ability to maintain existing relationships, as well as creating new relationships via networking and cold calling. As a company, we participate in a variety of local industry organizations and trade shows.
Competitive compensation package includes company vehicle and cell phone. This is a commissioned sales position with NO CAP.
Successful candidate MUST have and maintain a valid Utah driver license and clean driving record at all times. CDL is a definite plus.
