Job description
Goldson Spine Rehabilitation Center (GSRC) is a multi-disciplinary practice that has been in business for over 25 years. Our services include chiropractic, physical therapy, massage therapy, and psychotherapy with five locations across the southeastern region of Florida. We operate under the mission “To provide the most courteous and effective care and increase the well-being of every person who walks through our door”. Our Pembroke Pines Office is seeking a full-time Therapy Aide to provide support to our chiropractors while giving great customer service.
Responsibilities:
- Abides by HIPAA laws regarding sharing of personal medical information.
- Clean and organize the work area and disinfect equipment after treatment.
- Instruct, motivate, safeguard, or assist patients practicing exercises or functional activities, under the direction of chiropractor and/or physical therapist.
- Administer active or passive manual therapeutic exercises, therapeutic massage, or heat, light, sound, water, or electrical modality treatments, such as ultrasound.
- Perform clerical duties, such as completing daily notes, answering the telephone, taking messages, or filling out forms.
- Takes some general diagnostic information including blood pressure, temperature, weight, and height, and records this for the doctor’s use in the examination and treatment.
- Distributes educational information to patients as instructed by the chiropractor and/or physical therapist.
- Controls the waiting room, attends to patient needs, and ensures the office runs on time.
- Attends to email correspondence.
- Maintains organized files on all patients.
- Open to cross-training in other areas of the company.
- Attend monthly and quarterly office meetings in addition to annual events.
The above responsibilities are not limited and may include other tasks as deemed necessary for the efficient operation of the core functions of Goldson Spine Rehabilitation Center.
Skills & Abilities:
· Good written and verbal communication skills in English, and able to communicate to a diverse range of people clearly and effectively
· Good use of a computer, printer, fax, scanner, and copier machines
· Ability to work in and contribute to the team
· Ability to provide excellent customer service
· Ability to multitask while still paying attention to the details
· Good time management skills
Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma or Bachelor of Exercise Science and Health
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $14.00 - $17.00 per hour
