Title: Tool Crib Technician

Job Description:

• Responsible for the organization and preparation of tools for machining
• Operation of vertical bandsaw to prepare raw material per instructions
• Maintain inventory of tool holders, cutting tools, fixtures, and raw material
• Work with inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, height gauges and microscopes
• Purchase and re-stock cutting tools and raw material based on safety stock policies
• Assist CNC operators with machine maintenance such as monitoring oil and coolant levels, removing shavings and cleaning machine enclosures
• Occasional related work assignments such as operating milling machines and lathes

Education: Previous experience in a manufacturing environment is desirable

Job Requirements:

• Knowledge of Microsoft Office for inventory tasks
• Organized, dependable, reliable, and focused
• Positive attitude and communication skills
• Experience working in a fast-paced team environment
• Ability to stand and walk for long periods of time
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. without assistance

Language, Communication and Comprehension Skills:

• Reading, writing and communicating in English
• Reading and understanding work instructions
• Detail oriented and precision work focused

No direct reports
Reports to the Machine Shop Manager

Work schedule flexibility:

Candidate should have the flexibility to work overtime as needed
