Vector Tool & Engineering Inc. located in Grandview, MO is seeking a person for a “Tool Room Assistant” position.

Vector, a division of Peterson Manufacturing, is a high quality Tool & Die shop that builds custom injection molds and dies as well as automation equipment for a variety of manufacturing processes.

This is a full time position with excellent pay and benefits. The job offers employee health insurance with dental and vision plans. Uniforms are available as well as a work shoe program. Exceptional profit sharing plan. Two weeks’ vacation after a year plus 10 paid holidays per year.

Candidates should have some basic mechanical maintenance experience.

The position qualifications are:

• Quality minded person that focuses on detail and makes few mistakes.
• Light duty maintenance repairs of the machinery and facility.
• Routine and preventative maintenance of the shop machinery.
• Make local deliveries and pick-ups for daily shipping needs.
• Receive and prepare items for shipment.
• Oversee and maintains shop cleaning tasks.
• Light fabrication.
• Excellent time management and communication skills are required.
• Must be mindful of all relevant safety standards and practices.
• Good work ethic and the ability to perform in a team environment is essential.

Working hours are 7:00 a.m to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday.
