Tool & Die Technician 1st Shift

Shift Time: 7am-3pm with overtime potential

Reports to: Maintenance Supervisor
Work Location: Battle Creek, MI

We have an exciting opportunity at our Battle Creek facility for entry-level or experienced Tool & Die Technician who is excited about taking Motus to the NEXT level. • RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Set-Up, clean, maintain and trouble shoot molding, cutting, and forming tools used in the manufacture and assembly of WIP and finished goods
  • Ensure personnel safety in work area by proper use of PPE, ensuring clear work areas, and proper function of tools
  • Ensure all ancillary and auxiliary equipment is in good working order and is properly integrated into the process.
  • Ensure that proper quality, production, and safety policies and procedures are followed and enforced.
  • Ensure all set-ups can attain Standard Production Rate
  • Investigate and trouble shoot tooling/equipment/process problems to maximize production efficiency

REQUIREMENTS:

• High School Diploma or GED is required
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen (testing for illegal drugs) and background check (7 year requirement)
• Able to perform work responsibilities safety and ability to follow all safety rules and regulations
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• 2 years’ experience using hand tools preferred
