Transfer Delivery Driver & Sales Associate

Batteries Plus is hiring a Transfer Delivery Driver & Sales Associate to service our Salt Lake City, UT Area. This is a part-time driver and part-time sales associate job equating to a full-time (40 hours) position. The ideal candidate will be comfortable with driving a full-size cargo van and/or box truck, capable of lifting heavy items (at times in excess of 50 lbs), exhibit retail sales skills, possess excellent customer service and relationship building skills, demonstrate a basic understanding of electronics, and possess an ability to communicate with management.

Responsibilities:

Transfer Delivery Driver

• Load, unload, and deliver product, recycling, or supplies to customers or stores safely and securely
• Follow the safety requirements of customers while delivering to their premise
• Conduct daily inspection of vehicle (Report maintenance and deficiencies immediately)
• Load and unload truck with hand operated pallet jack
• Breakdown pallets, identify product, and accurately count product

Retail Sales Associate

• Assist retail and commercial customers in the purchase of batteries and light bulbs. (training provided)
• Replace batteries in vehicles, watches, key fobs, cell phones, and more. (training provided)
• Maintain proper inventory by stocking and facing shelves.
• Add-on and upsell products.
• Maintaining store appearance and cleanliness

Safety

• Follow all safety procedures and rules established in the facility.
• Keep all work areas clean and free of hazards. Notify supervisor of any safety hazards or damaged products
• Actively participate in all safety and other training programs

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required. Must have a focus on quality and accuracy and a desire to learn
• Must have and maintain a valid driver's license and carry auto insurance
• Must have clean driving record for past 3-5 years
• Operate with minimum oversight after given instructions
• Maintain ongoing communication with management
