Continental Expedited Services, Inc. has an immediate opening in our Safety Department!

Duties entail but at not limited to:

o Monitor and ensure CSA scores are below threshold, with focus on lowering scores and see where problem areas lie

o Conduct Safety Conference Calls once a month as needed, with quarterly safety meetings to be comprehensive reviews of CES and DOT safety guidelines

o Assist dispatch in training on new regulations

o Consult with drivers on errors and correct

o Monitor driver ELD violations and address unattended drives with drivers and correct

o Monitor events created from driver's actions, review, and counsel. Repeat offenders should be logged and brought in for instruction

o Conduct reviews on all violations, accidents, and other issues and record and place in the driver's file

o Submit end of week report of all violations, accidents and other issues to dispatch and COO

o Ensure procedures are followed for every accident per protocol

o Schedule DSI random tests are done as required, and as required after accidents

o Annual reviews of drivers (MVR and PSP)

o Submit IRP plates for new units and renewals

o Process state mileage reporting and permits as needed (KYU, HUT, NMDOT, etc)

o Process and submit IFTA reports quarterly

o Ensure all units telematics HOS is on and properly connected, to eliminate unassigned drives

o Push to keep every truck full

o Follow up with potential drivers that do not reply immediately

o Reply to Facebook ad comments/replies/messages

o Conduct driver orientation

o Train drivers on all aspects including DOT regulations, internal procedures, accounting, and dispatch communication

o Road test each new driver

o Truck inspections before and after delivery for drivers

o Conduct driver start and termination checklist

o Manage every accident

o Handle inbound claims; actively involved with claims department, seeking police reports, and analyzing sequence of events leading to crash

o Working with attorneys on lawsuits, and keeping up with payments

o Ensure subrogated claims are followed through and not unpaid

o Build and update monthly reports that need to be sent with updated vehicle and river info, as well as values for insurance

o Assist with driver issues with dispatch

o Act as a driver liaison to assist in smoothing over issues

o Assist with driver issues with dispatch

o Assist with dispatch issues with drivers

o Manage fuel cards and check for suspicious activity

o Assist with driver issues with dispatch

o Arrange for all things to be completed on new units to be ready for new drivers

o Track all used tires

o Ensure truck washes are both being done regularly

o Work with new dispatch staff on HOS and vehicle training

o Ensure drivers return trucks when they will be out of service for a long period of time

Required skills:

· Expert in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

· Adept interpersonal skills

· Outstanding team building

· Excellent verbal and written communication skills

· Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail

· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
