Heavy Equipment and Truck Mechanic

Duties and Responsibilities:

• Inspecting and repairing heavy equipment, farm equipment, and company vehicles
• Grease, oil and do daily maintenance of equipment
• DOT Semi’s and Trailers
• Major repair work such as clutches, rear-ends, transmission swaps, brakes, etc.

*All major engine work will be outsourced

• Report broken or faulty equipment as appropriate
• Work may be in shop and/or field
• Other duties as assigned

Essential Education and Qualifications:

• High School diploma
• Heavy Equipment Mechanics Certification
• DOT Certified & Valid DOT Health Card
• Valid Driver’s License (Class A Driver’s License (CDL) Preferred)
• Excellent verbal communication skills
• 5 years’ experience as Diesel or Heavy Equipment Mechanic
• Willing to work long hours if required

Physical Demands:

• Must be physically fit to endure the daily activity involved with the job
• Must be able to work in all weather conditions
• Must be able to lift heavy parts
