Job Title: Firearms Instructor

Job Summary: Brookring Federal has a need for the services of two qualified, full-time equivalent firearms instructors to support government trainers with qualifying military and civilian personnel via Small Arms Marksman (SAM) training. Classes consist of 10-23 students, with approximately 50 classes per year.

The firearms instructor does not provide curriculum, facilities, weapons or ammunition.

Period of Performance: 03 April 2023 - 31 March 2025. Work schedule is 40 hours per week, M-F.

Place of Performance:

03 April 2023 - 30 September 2023: C2 Commercial Shooting Range, 6025 Marvin Road, Virginia Beach, Virginia, 23457

01 October 2023 - 31 March 2025: Training Center Hampton Roads, 650 Monroe Ave, Fort Eustis, Virginia

Responsibilities:

• Assist and support Government trainers with Small Arms Marksman training for military and civilian personnel
• The contracted trainers will teach the courses at the following ranges: C2 Commercial range in Virginia Beach, Government owned and operated range at Fort Eustis

Requirements:

• Successful completion of one of the following courses: Navy Small Arms Marksmanship Instructor Course, Federal Law Enforcement Training Center Small Arms Instructor Course, DoD equivalent Small Arms Course, Non DoD: Any Small Arms equivalencies approved by OPNAV ashore readiness Division after Center for Security Forces review
• Capable of presenting curriculum in the classroom, serve as line coach during dry firing walk-through or live fire exercises and serve as a Range Safety Officer (RSO) - RSO training will be provided on the job
• Never have been convicted of a felony or domestic violence crimes
• Able to qualify in all weapons listed below within 30 days of hiring (weapons and ammunition provided by government): Berretta M9, Sig Saur M18, M-14, 12ga Shotgun, M-4
• Must re-qualify in these weapons every 6 months
• Current First Aid, CPR, and AED certification
• Secret security clearance
