The User Knowledge Base & Technical Analyst is responsible for developing comprehensive documentation that meets organizational standards for end users and internal support teams to reference when using Stride applications, platforms and products to self-serve troubleshooting for common issues. This person will gain a deep understanding of products and services, and translate complex information into simple, polished, engaging content and write user-friendly content that meets the needs of target audience, turning insights into language for user success. The User Knowledge Base & Technical Analyst will develop and maintain a detailed database of reference materials, including research, usability tests, and design specifications. They will also evaluate current content and develop innovative methods for improvement.

  • Research, outline, write, and edit content, working closely with various departments to understand project requirements
  • Gather information from subject-matter experts and develop, organize, and write procedure manuals, technical specifications, and process documentation
  • Work with development and support leads to identify documentation repositories, revise and edit, and determine best solutions for data compilation and centralized storage
  • Research, create, and maintain information architecture templates that adhere to organizational and legal standards and allow for easy data migration
  • Develop new content in alternative media forms for maximum usability, with consistent voice across all documentation
  • Review process of 771 internal and 534 customer-facing articles to determine relevancy and update as needed
  • Work closely with Program Manager and Training Department to ensure the Internal Knowledge Base is up to date and the customer facing Help Site provides articles for all Stride Applications and programs.

Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no formal supervisory responsibilities.


MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • 1-2 years' experience managing or using a technical knowledge base and/or experience writing instructional documents
  • Ability to organize information and present concepts in concise, easy to read format
  • Has a general knowledge of computer and software troubleshooting
  • Demonstrates qualities of a highly motivated professional

System Requirements:

  • Our work from home members are required to have and maintain High-speed internet connection. At the minimum 50Mbps download speed and 10Mbps upload speed, if not competing with other household users. For the sake of call quality, satellite, DSL, data plans, wireless or dial-up services are not compatible.
  • Some Internet service providers enable what is called SIP ALG (Session Initiation Protocol Application Layer Gateway). This interferes with our systems and must be disabled by the provider.
  • Ethernet connection is preferred.

OTHER REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Physical requirements: sedentary work, fluent typing, listening, speaking, extensive reading, repetitive motions, and extended computer usage.
  • Ability to maintain a professional home office without distraction during our hours of operation
  • Attend virtual training via web cam
  • Own or have daily access to a smart device where Apps can be downloaded/accessed (i.e., phone, tablet)
  • Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Project, Visio, etc.); Web proficiency.
  • Proven content writing skills
  • Command of English language
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to clear required background check

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in English, Communication or work experience equivalent
  • 3 or more years of experience in software or technical content writing

Compensation & Benefits: Stride, Inc. considers a person’s education, experience, and qualifications, as well as the position’s work location, expected quality and quantity of work, required travel (if any), external market and internal value when determining a new employee’s salary level. Salaries will differ based on these factors, the position’s level and expected contribution, and the employee’s benefits elections. Offers will typically be in the bottom half of the range.

  • We anticipate this position will pay between $24.00 to $42.16 per hour. This is a temporary/contractor role and you will be an employee of Randstad. The upper end of this range is not likely to be offered, as an individual’s compensation can vary based on several factors. These factors include, but are not limited to, geographic location, experience, training, education, and local market conditions. Randstad offers a robust benefits package for eligible employees that can include health benefits, retirement contributions, and paid time off.
