We are Seeking

With every job we fill, our focus is on providing best in class service to our customers while offering the opportunity for professional growth in a rewarding and innovative work environment. We have an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated professional to fill the position of UX Designer. This position is approved for remote work.

The UX Designer reports up through the JLCCTC (Joint Land Component Constructive Training Capability) Software Engineering Team. This role is focused on designing UX/UI for the consumer acquisition experience across the JLCCTC program. You must think in non-linear terms: capturing interactions, edge-cases, and the various states of these experiences through deliverables such as user flows, wireframes, prototypes to high fidelity final deliverables. You should be comfortable with an agile approach to design, with an emphasis on user testing and rapid iteration.

Outside exceptional and high-velocity UX/UI thinking, success in this role is dependent on being self-motivated, organized, open to feedback and critique, and being collaborative. Notably, you will focus heavily on interactions and aesthetics, ensuring that look and feel tells a cohesive and compelling brand story.

What you Will Do

  • Work with product owners and business analysts to define UX/UI requirements and designs informed by user interviews, heuristic evaluation of pre-existing tools, and iterative usability testing
  • Create wireframes, high fidelity mockups, prototypes, user flows, information architecture diagrams, or other artifacts required to build shared understanding across cross-functional teams
  • Creates layouts, comps, and /CSS prototypes, to communicate vision and final requirements to internal stakeholders and teams
  • Participates in user research, usability validation, and A/B testing
  • Works closely with other team members including Systems and Software Engineers to guide execution and navigate technical constraints and tradeoffs while bringing UX/UI designs to life
  • Assesses and optimizes the performance of new and existing features by actively participating in user research and assessing performance metrics.
  • Advocates for design solutions, highlighting inputs that influenced the decisions including business and user goals, demographic and usage data, and research findings.

About You

You are someone who effectively exceeds customer needs by building productive relationships and taking responsibility for customer satisfaction and loyalty. You actively participate as a member of a team to move the team toward the completion of goals while producing quality outcomes. You take great pride in proactively managing time and resources to ensure that work is completed efficiently while accomplishing objectives and achieving goals beyond what is required.
