JOB SUMMARY: The VUB project coordinator collaborates with various outreach programs located throughout the state in order to facilitate academic growth and postsecondary success among participants. The project coordinator reports to and assists the director in supervision of all staff. This is a full-time,12-month position that requires some travel.
DUTIES: The primary responsibility is to oversee recruitment of VUB participants and to assure participants are receiving assistance designed to remove obstacles to postsecondary education. Other responsibilities include: serve as liaison with veteran programs and services throughout West Virginia; maintain positive communication with personnel at college outreach sites; maintain all required records both student and programmatic; contact and meet with student participants; monitor project development and growth; assist in completion of annual reporting and tracking; supervise and evaluate academic advisors; and fulfill other responsibilities as assigned by the director.
