Emergency Veterinary Technician
JOB DESCRIPTION

Emergency Veterinary Services is a well-equipped, family owned, small animal emergency hospital located in Lisle, IL. We are looking for an experienced veterinary technician to add to our friendly and fun team. ER experience is not necessary, we are able to provide training and mentoring for an interested individual. We are looking for somebody who is self motivated, able to work well with others, enjoys an environment that is challenging but rewarding, and also likes to learn new skills and see new things. Compassion for the clients and patients is a must and good communication skills are very important. We are open nights, weekends, and holidays and need somebody who is available for weekend shifts as well as some weeknights, our shift schedule allows for an excellent work/life balance. Current available position is for full or part time role. Highly competitive compensation rates for qualified individual. ESSENTIAL RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS

Duties to include but not limited to:

-Monitoring/treatments of hospitalized patients

-In house laboratory testing

-Surgical assistance

-Monitoring anesthesia

-Catheter placement

-Taking radiographs

-Blood Draws

-Animal restraint

-Reception duties

-Client education/communication

-Communication with referring veterinarians

-Hospital Cleanliness

-Other job duties as assigned

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $23.00 per hour
