JOB TITLE: Vice Principal
2023-2024 School year
The ideal candidate would possess a minimum of a Master’s Degree in education or teaching, and must be a spiritually mature and growing Christian who is active in his or her Christian life with a clear and deep understanding of, and commitment to, the philosophy of Christian education as outlined in the mission and vision of West Hills Christian School. The elementary vice principal is responsible for organizing and fostering a positive, safe environment that is conducive to best meeting the needs of all students, staff, and parents. This includes maintaining a learning environment through proper student behavior, scheduling of classes and activities, and effecting proper guidance and leadership of staff and students, in support of the principal.
- Applicant must have 5 or more years of experience in teaching, additional administrative experience preferred
- Applicant must be skilled in leadership and the facilitation of work involving colleagues, including problem solving and conflict resolution
- Applicant must have a working knowledge of the principles of effective instruction and differentiated instructional methods, and be experienced in planning, implementing, and aligning curriculum
- Applicant must have a strong work ethic, strong communication skills (written and verbal), able to multi-task, possess organizational skills, and be fluent in Google Suite
- Applicant must be a professing Christian and active in a local church
- Applicant is expected to integrate a biblical worldview into his/her position and live out those values in his/her daily life
- Applicant must have excellent teamwork and collaborative skills
- Applicant must possess be able to communicate effectively with students, parents, and faculty, and be dedicated to contributing to the life of the school
