Position Title: Environmental Service Technician
Overview: The Environmental Service Technician is responsible for floor cleaning (stripping, sealing, and waxing), window washing, moving of furniture, trash collection, carpet cleaning (shampooing and vacuuming), as well as set-ups and break-downs of all scheduled events. The Environmental Service Technician will be expected to perform all duties in a timely manner while working as a team with all departments. This position reports to the Environmental Services Manager and Supervisor.
Essential Job Functions:
- Requires ability to work flexible hours including some evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- Responsible for checking daily event forms and setting up / breaking down rooms appropriately.
- Collect and dispose of all trash and recycling inside and outside the facility.
- Clean all inside and outside windows as assigned.
- Follow floor cleaning schedule created by Housekeeping Supervisor.
- Responsible for floor care including cleaning baseboards, carpet shampooing, grout cleaning, concrete scrubbing and strip and waxing of all tile floors, etc.
- Responsible for stairwells, patio furniture, compactor rooms, trash rooms, resident laundry rooms, elevators, and mechanical rooms.
- Maintain the cleanse of outside landing.
- Preform low skilled preventive maintains on small equipment.
- Maintain a clean and orderly work area at all times.
- Responsible for cleaning of equipment after every use and storage of machines during and after use.
- Collect, transport, and deliver linens, furniture, and equipment when needed.
- All staff MUST greet resident(s) and announce their presence prior to entering room.
- Restock all supply rooms when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
You Have:
- High School diploma or equivalent preferred, may be working towards high school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years’ experience in floor care required, including stripping and waxing work
- Carpet care preferred
