ABOUT THE ROLE: We’re seeking a VP, Account Director to drive strategic growth for new and existing clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in digital, but also experience in offline marketing and will need to put his or her interactive and integrated brand experience skills on display. As a thought leader behind an esteemed luxury brand, you'll provide excellent mentorship skills while leading a stellar, cross-functional team.

Responsibilities

  • Cultivate long-term relationships with day-to-day clients and other key decision-makers by delivering recommendations grounded in strategy, and inspired by industry thought leadership.
  • Demonstrate active leadership as a stakeholder in all phases of the project lifecycle for multiple accounts
  • Partner with the creative, strategy, technology, production, media, data and analytics agency teams to develop strategies and ideas that meet and exceed client goals, including value-add ideas in support of the business.
  • Lead client, agency and cross-agency partners in integrated marketing planning exercises
  • Identify and recommend omnichannel solutions that leverage paid, earned, and/or owned channels
  • Leverage data-driven insights to inform strategy definition, ideation, creative development, and ongoing thought leadership
  • Lead client presentations with compelling strategic and visual storytelling
  • Foster an environment of collaboration between clients, internal project teams and agency partners
  • Anticipate future client needs; project and mitigate risks
  • Create opportunities to engage socially and professionally with clients to drive ongoing partnerships
  • Mentor account and cross-functional team members to maximize full growth potential
  • Partner with agency leadership to plan, forecast and grow profitability

Qualifications

  • 8-10+ years of marketing experience with 5+ years at an interactive agency in a client-facing role
  • Demonstrate a background in drawing actionable insights from qualitative and quantitative data
  • Complete command of paid, earned and owned media channels
  • Demonstrable experience with strategy, creative and production life cycles (including agile) at a digital agency
  • Proven project management experience, including successful implementation of new agency processes and workflows
  • Experience with consumer brands, retail industry, and e-commerce
  • Experience with photo/video production a plus
  • Experience with managing financials across multiple accounts
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications or equivalent
  • Experience working on a luxury brand is a plus
  • Flexibility for this position to be located out of our Chicago or Michigan offices with the ability to travel between our offices as needed.
