ABOUT THE JOB

Our Team

The Vx RD Operation Lead for Waltham site is part of Vx RD Global Business Operations function, transversal function supporting Vaccine RD organization on transversal topic (project management, resource management, internal engagement, Digital & Data Portfolio coordination and Site Operation Management). The team is based on our 4 main VRD sites (Marcy l’Etoile, Swiftwater, Toronto and Boston area) working very closely with all Vx RD functions, global and support functions (Digital, Facility mgt, HSE, VIA …)

Main responsibilities

The Vx RD Operational lead for Waltham site is driving the activities required to maintain a safe, effective, compliant and engaging workplace, through close collaboration with concerned functions and working closely with Waltham Site Head.

The incumbent:

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for transversal oversight of operational aspects of Waltham Vx RD facility affording proper information sharing, guidance, and operational excellence across Waltham ecosystem

  • Ensure alignment with Facility Management, Digital teams, HR, HSE, Equipment and Laboratory support functions and building management with focus on facilitation of optimal operational performance and execution.

  • Ensure COE mRNA needs are understood by Operational Stakeholders in the frame of the Waltham Campus implementation

  • Act on behalf of Waltham Site Head, from on operational standpoint, as appropriate on site-wide local & regional ecosystem and company initiatives that influence CoE and Vaccines R&D functions

  • Act as a conduit of information within Vx R&D for site-related matters: town halls or other events as appropriate

  • Ensure that best HSE & Security practices are in place for a safe workplace, promote/organize the coordination of activities between VR&D local functions

  • Define & be responsible for Waltham Site Master Plan strategy to support the growth of site capabilities; including scenario planning drive based on projected outcomes and direct inter-department alignment for impact on budget & resources for operational needs (building, infrastructure, etc.)

  • Responsible for compliance and provide influence/guidance/implementation of general and site policies, recognize and identify specific needs, reinforce basic requirements, coordinate & contribute to R&D review and approval of site quality documents (SOPs, maintenance logs, etc.), champion for Sanofi Business Ethics & Integrity

ABOUT YOU

  • Experience: experience on operational or facilities management - Direct experience with clear communication to site leaders, team leaders and Executive Committees

  • Soft skills: Customer orientation, ability to collaborate effectively and work as part of team - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Able to work independently, enthusiastic and self-motivated - Demonstrate Play to Win culture behaviour

  • Technical skills: Good knowledge of Laboratory & Facilities operations/management,

  • Languages: English fluent
