Job description

The warehouse clerk will be responsible for the receipt, dispatch and storage of all food, beverage, dry & paper products at Half Moon Empanadas warehouse.

The warehouse clerk's responsibilities include picking, storage, receiving, dispatching, security, maintenance, and sanitation functions and will ensure the maintenance of company assets. To ensure success, the warehouse clerk will need to multitask effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, and perform duties in a manner that maximizes profits.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Receive products, review quality & quantity. Return damaged or spoiled products

• Loading and unloading items from truck

• Stack merchandise on racks

• Place merchandise on pallets or shelves for distribution

• Organizing, maintaining and monitoring the warehouse stocks

• Recording all received items in the computer system

• Stock inventory using FIFO

• Ensure proper inventory rotation to minimize waste

• Performing daily inventory management

• Implement operational policies and procedures

• Assist with deliveries where required

• Packaging and shipping orders to other locations according to company procedures

• Fill requisitions, work orders, or requests for materials, tools, or other stock items

• Following all the warehouse safety procedures and guidelines

• Carry out tasks as assigned by the warehouse supervisor/manager

• Storing and cleaning of walking cooler

Supportive Functions:  

In addition to performance of the essential functions, this position may be required to perform a combination of the following supportive functions, with the percentage of time performing each function to be solely determined by the supervisor based upon the requirements of the company. 

• Perform any general cleaning tasks using standard restaurant cleaning products as assigned by supervisor to adhere to health standards. 

• Keeps all areas clean and organized. 

• Attending required team member meetings. 

• Completes other duties and tasks assigned by the leadership team. 

• Physical fitness– warehouse clerk needs to perform repetitive or strenuous tasks, so they should possess a high level of stamina.

• Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned or required.

Qualifications

• Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks.

• Excellent understanding of warehouse management procedures.

• Proficient knowledge of inventory and inventory controls.

• Valid drivers' license.

• Available to work extended hours.

• Highly resourceful team-player.

• Proven ability to handle confidential information with discretion.

• Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience Requirements

• High school diploma is required.

• Proficient in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, and Power Point)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $15.00 per hour
