Warehouse Specialist

May require work on Sundays and Federal holidays when operational requirements dictate.

Scope of Work:
Performs a variety of warehousing duties which require an understanding of the establishment’s storage plan. Work involves most of the following:

• Verifying materials (or merchandise) against receiving documents,
• Noting, and reporting discrepancies and obvious damages;
• Routing materials to prescribed storage locations;
• Storing, stacking, or palletizing materials in accordance with prescribed storage methods;
• Rearranging and taking inventory of stored materials;
• Examining stored materials and reporting deterioration and damage;
• Removing material from storage and preparing it for shipment.
• May operate hand or power trucks in performing warehousing duties.
• Must have MHE license and be capable of operating MHE with 4K and 6K capacity.
• Uses DSS and MCPALMS in the performance of the requirements

Other task, duties and responsibilities but not limited to:
Ensure compliance with standard of care and practice in accordance with all established policies, procedures, government directives and company guidelines.

Experience/Requirements:

• Two years related experience.
• Familiar with the use of DSS, MCPALMS, WMS and other systems in the performance of warehouse operations.
• Must be proficient in reading and capable of communicating effectively in English verbally and writing.
• Basic knowledge and skills required to plan, control, manage, and be responsible for the successful completion of the work.
• Record-keeping techniques.
• Interpersonal skills using tact, patience, and courtesy.
• Able to pass background check and drug screening.
• Complete all required government and contractor required training.
• Possess basic math and computer skills.
• Able to pass a physical if requires.
• Able to stand, bend, lift and walk for extended period of time.
• Lift up to 40 lbs.
• Comply with state and federal laws.
• Valid state driver’s license

Education/Certifications:

• High School Diploma or Equivalent

Physical Activities:

• Work requires standing, walking, pushing, pulling, squatting, climbing, and bending.
• Employee may stand for long periods of time.
• Occasionally assists lifting and carrying equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
• May have to use carts, dollies, hand trucks, and other gear to move items around.
