WAREHOUSE SUPERVISOR

Position Summary:*
We’re looking for a candidate who can improve our warehouse operation and enable us to grow our operational advantage. This position requires a self-starter that can motivate and proactively oversee the warehouse staff. Effective leadership will mean an improved relationship amongst the warehouse staff and an increased volume of activity in our warehouse. We are seeking candidates energized by the opportunity to juggle responsibilities and to be a hands-on leader. Candidates should also have a track record of motivating and engaging employees to be better than they already are and to develop into future leaders of the operation.

Position Responsibilities:*

• Ensures the effective operation of the warehouse by:
• Ensuring the prescribed schedules and operating policies and procedures are followed.
• Assigning work, providing training, and guiding and advising personnel as necessary.
• Resolving routine personnel problems.

• Assists with directing the day-to-day activities of the warehouse, including shipping and receiving, inventory control, will call, and maintenance.
• Monitors and shifts personnel to achieve optimal use of available labor hours.
• Ensures that materials are received correctly, posted into computer system, and put into stock promptly.
• Assists with cycle counts, adjustments, order discrepancies, damaged materials, and ensures problems are dealt with promptly and effectively.
• Coordinates the customer and vendor return process.
• Coordinate’s resolution of delivery problems and truck maintenance issues.
• Maintains an orderly and safe work area.
• Works closely with all internal departments, combining individual efforts to better serve the customer.
• Adhere to all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies.
• Act in a safe and positive manner always, ensure that those around you do not put themselves or others at risk. Your personal safety is your responsibility.
• Complete an accident/Incident report for any safety and/or health infractions that occur or witnessed.
• Support all United Electric health, safety, and environmental policies for all employees within your group.
• Performs other duties as obvious or assigned.

• Must be able to work Monday to Friday: (flexibility required to cover other shifts as needed)

• Good conflict resolution skills.
• Ability to effectively handle multiple tasks and collaborate within a multi-functional team.
• Detail oriented, organized and consistent.
• A team player – work together with others to accomplish common goals of company.
• Organized with strong time management skills.
• Excellent computer skills.
• High School Diploma Required.
• Associates Degree or higher preferred.
