What You'll Do
- Represents the Product Acceptance group in planning, coordinating, and completing weapons product quality audits in accordance with Y-12 Quality procedures and DOE/NNSA weapons product acceptance requirements.
- Performs product verification and acceptance activities on behalf of DOE/NNSA in accordance with the DOE/NNSA Weapons Quality Policy NAP-401.1A. Ensures deliverables meet or exceed DOE/NNSA weapons quality standards.
- Prioritizes and integrates work for assigned deliverables. May be required to independently perform complex assignments necessitating follow-through on projects from conceptual stage to the finished product in support of quality assurance. May have significant responsibility for end product.
- Interfaces with Quality management, Y-12 production coordinators, project managers, product engineers, and other customers on status of activities, projects, and schedules. Maintains an effective interface with DOE/NNSA Quality Assurance counterparts.
- Provides business and technical knowledge of auditing functions to support development and implementation of the Electronic Product Acceptance project. Supports development of future electronic program initiatives that ensure the Quality organization effectively meets Y-12 mission deliverables.
- Works with personnel from IT support organizations to solve issues that affect quality auditing operations and search for continuous improvement opportunities.
- Supports Y-12 Quality, Production and Product Engineering by pulling Design Agency product definition and associated engineering authorizations from PRIME, the NSE configuration management system. Flows down production and quality requirements into the Product Information and Control Summary.
- Supports Y-12 Programs by creating products and identifying associated acceptance criteria in the Product Configuration System (SAP PCS).
- Reviews revision history and effective versions of specifications and procedures for configuration and control.

Minimum Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree: Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Typical experience ranging from 4 to 7 years.
- OR Master’s degree: Minimum 1 year of relevant experience. Typical experience ranging from 4 to 7 years.
- OR Ten or more years of experience, training, and/or progressive experience maybe considered to satisfy educational requirements for this posting. Typical experience ranging from 4 to 7 years.
Preferred Job Requirements
- Knowledge of the Y-12 quality program and processes.
- Experience with retrieval of data and database management in systems such as SAP Manufacturing Execution (SAP ME), and SAP Product Configuration System (SAP PCS), and Access.
