Description:
The Wealth Management Communications team is a department within Morgan Stanley's Corporate Communications department. The team provides comprehensive communication guidance, assisting with the creation and execution of fully integrated internal communications plans, to ensure that the messaging aligns with and supports the key business objectives. The WM Field Communication Specialist supports various businesses and assists with developing communication strategies to help drive engagement and share pertinent information with the broader Wealth Management organization, with a focus on field employees. The specialist also plays a key role in delivering communications to the field via our central communications channels.
The individual in this role will be report to the Field Communications Manager.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Partner with Wealth Management businesses to gain a clear understanding of key initiatives and effectively translate them to communication objectives and strategies
  • Draft, review, edit and manage the production of internal communications (e.g. internal publications, talking points, FAQs, field notifications, branch training materials)
  • Ensure accuracy, clarity and consistency of communications, reflecting strategic messaging, broader firm objectives and issues/change management
  • Engage in the Wealth Management project portfolio and related release schedules to support communication planning and coordinated implementation of initiatives
  • Provide communications guidance and develop comprehensive communication plans in support of business requirements
  • Deliver communications to employees through a range of platforms and channels, including publishing to internal websites, sending direct Outlook and Blastmail emails, and issuing alerts to Financial Advisors
  • Develop internal strategy in efforts to enhance the functionality of our communications delivery channels and continuously look for ways to streamline and improve our process
-Partner with technology and key business stakeholders to quickly draft, send and -Work on special projects outside of their day-to-day communication work including creating and maintaining reports, and engaging in the overall Field communication strategy

QUALIFICATIONS


-Solid written and verbal communications skills, as well as interpersonal and collaboration skills
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to manage multiple deliverables
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently or within a team environment
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
  • Familiarity with AP writing style
  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Media, related field, or equivalent experience
  • Prefers candidates with at least two years' experience within the brokerage or other financial services industry
