We support more than ten countries on how they budget and pay for inpatient and outpatient care. This role would appeal to persons interested in playing a vital role in the equitable financing of healthcare globally and driving efficiency and value across the healthcare delivery system. Here, you will make an impact by:
- Developing health data analysis in support of the portfolio of 3M HIS healthcare payment and quality methodologies.
- Implementing new approaches and ways of thinking in the analysis of new and existing data sources.
- Collaborating with other members of the data analysis team, clinical researchers, health economists and industry professionals as we apply our industry leading methodologies to the measurement of efficiency and health outcomes.
- Growing to lead the analytical design in support of maintaining and extending our product portfolio.
Your Skills and Expertise
To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution and four (4) years of experience in health data analysis
OR
- High School Diploma/GED or higher (completed and verified prior to start) and eight (8) years of experience in health data analysis
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
- Master's degree in field related to statistics, economics, or data analysis from an accredited institution
- Knowledge of healthcare payment methods or patient classification systems
- Knowledge of healthcare quality measures
- Knowledge of health insurance claims data and familiarity with coding systems (ICD-10-CM, ICD-10-PCS, HCPCS)
- Previous experience with health care analytics with a payer, provider, government health payer, or healthcare research organization
- Previous experience of applying research techniques to health data
