Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk Job Responsibilities: The accounts payable and receivable clerk is responsible for assisting the accounting team with daily tasks and special projects. Some of these task include but are not limited to;

• Preparing, gathering and sorting documents related to accounts payable or accounts receivable.
• Assists with paying invoices by verifying transaction, department, or job expesne information.
• Helps with the collection of revenue revenue by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.
• Prepares financial reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing account information and trends.
• Helps maintains accounting ledgers by posting account transactions.
• Verifies accounts by reconciling statements and transactions.
• Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments.
• Maintains financial security by following internal accounting controls.
• Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.

Accounts Payable and Receivable Clerk Qualifications and Skills

• High degree of accuracy
• Proefficent with Microsoft and Accounting software
• Great attention to detail
• Strong customer service skills
• Excellent negotiation skills
• Proficiency in mathematics
