The ICS Audio Visual design role is responsible for supporting the design needs of the Sales, Installation, and Service branches of ICS. This is a full-time position. Most work is performed Monday thru Friday from 7-4 with the potential for some evening and weekend work if necessary. There are options for remote and hybrid remote positions which can be discussed and planned on a case-by-case basis as needed. Occasional overnight travel is possible.
Essential Duties and Accountabilities:
  • Develop system designs that meet customer functional and budgetary requirements.
  • Responsible for maintaining a professional attitude and delivering excellent customer service.
  • Maintain high-level of personal expertise in current and future technology
  • Generate functional and connection-level drawings for audio and video systems.
  • Create engineered design packages including audio, video and control systems.
  • Generate and submit Bill of Materials (BOM) and monitor the ordering of A/V equipment and materials.
  • Responsible for the complete life cycle of a project. Concept Design, Sales support, submittal creation, installation team support, and close-out documentation.
  • Define and/or refine functional requirements for system programming.
  • Support the ongoing needs of the project/field team.
  • Complete training programs from manufacturers, industry associations, and companies as required.
  • Contribute and participate in Design Department objectives and goals.
  • Other duties as required or assigned by management.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both verbal and written.
Recommended qualifications:
  • Minimum five years’ experience in a similar position or role.
  • AVIXA CTS-D certification preferred, but not required
  • Proficient with AutoCad software required.
  • Experience with Bluebeam estimation software is preferred.
  • Experience with Crestron, Extron, and other integration hardware systems is preferred.
  • Must be able to communicate and interact with coworkers, customers, and vendors in a professional and timely manner.
