Position: ABA Therapist / Registered Behavior Technician (RBT)

Schedule: Full-Time

Responsibilities/Job Description:

• Provide behavior intervention services to individuals diagnosed with Autism and related disorders in the home, school, and in the community
• Implement behavior intervention and skill acquisition plans created by and under the supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA)
• Collect and record data
• Complete accurate treatment notes in a timely manner
• Strictly follow and enforce BACB guidelines
• Attend team meetings
• Motivate and encourage clients and staff

Critical Functions (may include but are not necessarily limited to)

• Be able to run short distances, sit on the floor, bend down, squat and kneel, quick reflexes to block or prevent behaviors from occurring
• Must have access to own vehicles for transportation to client homes or other locations throughout area of service delivery

Qualifications:

• Minimum high school diploma or equivalent (college degree preferred)
• RBT certificate or completion of RBT certificate within 30 days of hire date
• Completion of background check
• Completion of two professional reference checks
• Evidence of prior training in infection control procedures and Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) or completion of training within 30 days of hire date
• Prior experience working with behavior intervention program(s) and behavior plans based on the principles of Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA)
• Basic understanding and utilization of the following treatment models:
• Applied Behavior Analysis
• Developmental psychology/human development

• Intermediate knowledge of autism spectrum disorders
• Demonstrate ability to communicate with multiple parents/family members.
