Bio-Med Science Academy is an innovative, progressive, year-round public STEM high school that prepares students to succeed in the global economy. The Academy opened in Rootstown, Ohio in August 2012 and received formal STEM designation in April 2013. As a member of the Ohio STEM Learning Network (OSLN), the Academy is a recognized STEM school along with other STEM schools across the state and the country. The Academy strives to attract highly qualified educators with a passion and drive to rethink education to propel students into the global community with strong roots in 21st century skills. The Academy’s Pillar Teacher needs to be a highly motivated and energetic educator who has a understanding of Restorative practice and 21 st century skills. its implementation within
QUALIFICATIONS:
Must be able to utilize a phone, computer and screen and other office equipment. While performing the duties of the job, the employee is frequently required to sit; talk; or hear and occasionally stand, walk, reach, stoop, or kneel. Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 pounds.

- Provides restorative practices and 21 st century skills coaching and development to students
- Provide deep learning experiences for all students
- Seeking and implement content integration opportunities for students
- Provide support appropriate to student’s abilities
- Extensive training in alternative Pedagogy, current technologies and tools to strengthen educational experiences.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- Current Ohio Teaching licensure
- Successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree
- Training (or willingness to get training) in Restorative Practices
- Has a passion for students and aiding their development as well rounded humans.
