Account Manager - College of Business (Advertising / Marketing / Content Development)
Job description
Manages the marketing and advertising operations for the Chapman Graduate programs, including content development, media planning, competitive analysis, campaign execution and testing, and other related activities.
- Plans, manages, and executes advertising and communications for Chapman Graduate programs, including digital, email, print, outdoor, etc.
- Assists in developing and implementing marketing plans for Chapman Graduate programs. Collaborates with central External Relations to ensure brand integrity.
- Manages work distribution for content development and marketing activities.
- Ongoing tracking and optimizing of marketing efforts in support of established goals and objectives.
- Assists with budget planning and maintains fiscal responsibility for all department activities. Reviews accounts payable/receivable transactions, ensuring appropriate allocation of funds across departmental budget.
- Manages and reconciles departmental expenses including travel and other expenses using university credit card. Submits requisitions and receives goods or services against purchase orders; creates travel authorizations, expense reports, through the University's financial system. May process contracts in accordance with University purchasing guidelines.
- Interprets university administrative and fiscal policies and procedures. Provides recommendations on procedures for the unit to improve administrative and fiscal operation for the programs and office site.
- Researches industry and competitor trends in support of developing strategic marketing efforts.
- Remains up-to-date with respect to best practices and techniques for research, marketing, advertising, etc.
- Collaborates with recruiting and technology teams to execute CRM strategies.
- May support the digital development efforts as needed.
- Manages digital transformation projects on the advertising platforms (tags, connections between CRM and advertising platforms, privacy and security regulations).
- Maintains relationships with external vendors and looks for beneficial collaborations that increase the effectiveness of marketing initiatives.
- Assists with marketing plan development, performance analysis of marketing initiatives, generate reports for tracking marketing metrics and KPIs and processes entry surveys for Chapman graduate programs (data cleaning, aggregation, data visualization).
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Media/Public Relations, Communications or appropriate degree and three (3) years of experience in a related field.
