Job Title: Administrative Assistant

Location: Barnesville, Georgia

Job Status: Full Time, Non-Exempt

Reports to: Plant Manager

Summary/Objective:

The Administrative Assistant will assist the Sr. Administrative Assistant with various administrative duties. The Administrative Assistant will be the main contact for all Feed related business including scheduling and driver interaction.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Feed:

  • Create Feed jobs, orders, and schedules daily, weekly, and quarterly
  • Deal with all feed contacts, drivers, brokers, and loaders
  • Do all the feed invoices and billing
  • Create loads and ship out of rail cars with feed loads

Office:

  • Track and enter all the training documentation for all employees into the system
  • Help with SQF and other Audits whenever needed. Updating, creating, and changing any need paperwork/ documentation
  • Help Managers with any of their needed paperwork
  • Back up the Sr. Administrative Assistant with flour orders, loads, schedules, and double check load information
  • Weigh in/out all wheat trucks making deliveries
  • Assist with overall cleanliness of the office building

Qualifications:

  • H.S. Diploma or equivalent education i.e. GED
  • Exhibit a strong work ethic with an excellent attendance record
  • Knowledge of administrative and clerical procedures and systems, such as managing files and records
  • Excellent verbal, written communication and interpersonal skills
  • Must have strong grammar and punctuation skills, including the ability to compose professional business correspondence.
  • Competency in Microsoft Office software applications (MS Word, Excel and Access), and the ability to learn new software programs (such as TruGrain).
  • Ability to design forms and excel spreadsheets including creating formulas
  • Ability to work well with others in fast-paced, dynamic environment.
  • Ability to be team oriented while building strong working relationships and a positive work environment

Perform job functions in Grain Craft’s physical office/mill environment, in accordance with set work schedule.

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and write effectively. Ability to respond to common inquiries or complaints from customers, regulatory agencies, or members of the business community. Ability to effectively present information to manager, team members, and external parties and customers.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:

Ability to apply basic math concepts. Ability to apply mathematical concepts to such tasks as frequency distribution.

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret instructions and deal with common variables.
