Experience:
Prior admission experience in health care facilities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Maintain a daily log of referrals and reports to the Regional Support Team.
- Stay in constant communication with all discharge planners and facility admission teams throughout the day.
- Relay admissions information quickly and efficiently to all facility admission teams.
- Assist potential residents and their families by answering questions regarding the Facility and admissions process.
- Assure that all departments receive necessary information to prepare for admission (i.e. medications, treatments, and any special needs).
- Develop and maintain a good working rapport with hospital discharge planners, facility admission teams, and regional support team.
- Keep abreast of current Medicare and Medicaid regulations governing admission and discharge requirements of health care facilities.
Marketing Functions
- Maintain relationships with area physicians, social service departments, hospital discharge planners, governmental agencies, bank trust officers, lawyers, clergy, industrial health programs, insurance carriers, HMOs and other professionals or groups that may influence inquiries.
- Communicate with same for the purpose of educating and building awareness of the facility's scope of services.
- Responsible for collecting and responding to all inquiries, whether in person or by telephone, and converting them into admissions, as possible.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
