Summary:
- The successful candidate will be a member of the SMO team and will have the responsibility to develop and implement Process Analytical Technologies, perform QC laboratory analytical testing, and support robotics, cobotics and lab automation initiatives for SMO manufacturing and quality operations.
Responsibilities
- Perform analytical testing in the laboratory using techniques including but not limited to chromatography, spectroscopy, and spectrophotometry.
- Conduct data analysis and interpret results
- Author reports and/or presentations describing results and interpretation
- Maintain and troubleshoot laboratory equipment
- Adhere to Environmental, Health and Safety standards and guidelines
- Develop, improve, and customize equipment, processes, and analytical methods
- Communicate effectively at multiple levels covering project technical details or progress
- Collaborate effectively internally and with cross-functional teams with an open attitude towards fast learning
Preferred Qualifications and Attributes
- Relevant degree and background in Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, Physics, Biology, Chemistry, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
- Hands-on experience in key technical areas, including Process Analytical Technology and control (such as near-infrared, Raman, and ultra-violet spectroscopy)
- Analytical testing, (such as Dissolution, Assay, Content Uniformity) is a plus
- Knowledge of robotics, cobotics and lab automation is a plus
- Familiarity with data science, machine learning and artificial intelligence
- Familiarity with MVDA and software (such as SIMCA, Minitab)
- Self-motivated with excellent oral and written communication skills
- Good knowledge of pharmaceutical manufacturing and related unit operations is also a plus
Notes:
- Assist in ordering equipment (glassware, ingriednits, etc.).
- Lab Based work
- Working with analytical instruments and equipment in the QC lab
