We are looking for a cleaner to take care of our dog kennels, cat cages and carry out light cleaning & maintenance duties in our facility. This is a key role in preparing and helping the animals in our care find loving forever homes. Our adoption success and shelter live-release rate is highest in the area, and among the highest in NJ.

Responsibilities

• Clean dog runs and cat cages, and office areas
• Be a team player and have a positive attitude
• Report changes in animal behavior or health
• Washing, drying and folding laundry
• Follow all health and safety regulations
• Carry out heavy cleaning tasks and special projects when advised
• Additional tasks as assigned by manager

Skills

• Proven working experience as a cleaner
• Experience with animals is preferred
• Ability to lift or move objects up to 50 pounds
• Must also be able to stoop, bend, reach above your head, and stand on your feet for long periods of time
• Work with integrity and be a team player
• Good verbal and written communication skills

This is a part-time job from 8am - 12noon, 3 days per week, which will include one weekend day.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $14.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 4 hour shift
• Day shift
• Holidays
• No nights
• Weekend availability

Supplemental pay types:

• Bonus pay
