About ACSKC
Serving our community on the Eastern Shore and beyond to rescue, rehabilitate and rehome animals in need, the Animal Care Shelter for Kent County strives to inspire compassion and responsibility, cultivated through education, advocacy and affordable services.
As Kent County’s only animal shelter, we care for hundreds of animals each year, with the mindset that each and every single adoptable pet will receive food, shelter, medical attention and love until they’re home . We also focus on progressive programs to help the community through our food pantry, lost and found services, rehoming support services and more.
Just as we celebrate the organization’s 60-year anniversary, we embark on a new chapter as we move into a brand new facility. This state-of-the-art shelter will open up numerous possibilities that were unobtainable in our old building. We expect to move into our new shelter starting in mid-December.
