MC: Medical Staff Administration- ( Full-Time, Day Shift )

The Application Analyst 1-Medical Staff supports Medical Staff Administration (MSA) in software and hardware applications including trouble shooting, system testing, primary training, database management, and assisting of MSA staff on all applicable software systems, and interacts with Information Technology Dept (ITD) and vendors for MSA functions. Coordinates the writing, interpreting, and designing and issuing of system reports and statistical data. Assists the Director of MSA and with implementation and support of software programs and data validation. Has a working knowledge of credentialing and privileging. Assists Coordinators by entering physician information into database. Performs other duties as needed.

High School Diploma or GED required. Associate's Degree preferred. Minimum three years of experience providing technical support for computer systems in a professional work environment required. Minimum one year experience in technical writing of user manuals, procedures or other related publications required.

Working knowledge of HTML, technical writing (e.g. user training manuals, technical reports and procedures). Experience in implementing, performing cost or operational analysis of information systems and equipment and managing system functions preferred. Analyze and interpret data, analyze and solve specific problems, follow complex instructions. Basic knowledge of Medical Staff office procedures. Able to keyboard 50 wpm. Able to read; write legibly; speak in English with professional quality; use computer, printer, and software programs necessary to the position (e.g., Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint). Operate/troubleshoot basic office equipment required for the position. Able to relate and communicate positively, effectively, and professionally with others; work calmly and respond courteously when under pressure; collaborate and accept direction. Able to communicate effectively in English in person, in writing, and on the telephone; think critically; manage multiple assignments effectively; organize and prioritize workload; work well under pressure; problem solve; recall information with accuracy; pay close attention to detail; work independently with minimal supervision. Able to distinguish colors as necessary; hear sufficiently for general conversation in person and on the telephone, and identify and distinguish various sounds associated with the workplace; see adequately to read computer screens, and written documents necessary to the position.

Microsoft Office Specialist Certification (MSOC), or technical school certificate in a computer related field preferred.
