- 3+ years of building machine learning models for business application experience
- PhD, or Master's degree and 6+ years of applied research experience

We are seeking a Sr. Applied Scientist to be part of the NLU science team for Alexa Shopping. This is a strategic role to shape and deliver our technical strategy in developing and deploying Large Language Model solutions to our hardest customer facing problems. Our goal is to delight customers by providing a conversational interaction. These initiatives are at the heart of the organization and recognized as the innovations that will allow us to build a differentiated product that exceeds customer expectations. Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $136,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $260,000/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
